Rest of Jordan Reed's season in jeopardy following toe strain

ASHBURN, Virginia -- Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed suffered a great toe strain and might miss the rest of the season, coach Jay Gruden said Monday. It would be yet another blow to a Redskins offense that continues to lose starters.

Gruden said Reed would miss at least one week, but there's a chance he'll sit out the final three games. At 6-7, the Redskins remain alive for the postseason but they've lost four consecutive games and five out of six.

Gruden said it's not the same toe strain that plagued Reed the previous two years and required surgery on both big toes after the season.
