Report: Redskins signing TE J.P. Holtz from practice squad, releasing Robert Davis, Jordan Reed likely OUT vs Eagles

There was a lot of hope that Jordan Reed would be able to play tomorrow against the Eagles. He suffered a concussion after a dirty helmet-to-helmet from Falcons safety Keanu Neal. That was on August 22nd, and Reed has still not been cleared.

The Redskins will reportedly sign J.P. Holtz from the practice squad so they have 3 tight ends available for tomorrow's game. This will give Vernon Davis the start, and make Jeremy Sprinkle his backup. This is not good news for a team with a new jouneyman QB, a very questionable left side of the offensive line, a new RB, and a very inexperienced WR corps.
