Earlier in the day the Washington Redskins announced the signing of free agent tight end Ernst Brun Jr., placed Niles Paul and Logan Paulsen on season-ending injured reserve and waived running back Silas Redd Jr.
Now it appears the Redskins have added another tight end after signing D.J. Williams, according to Mike Jones of The Washington Post.
Williams was a fifth round pick of the Green Bay Packers back in 2011. He spent his first two NFL seasons with the Pack. Then had stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the course of the following three seasons.
