After Week 1 of the 2019 NFL season, the Washington Redskins are already making some tweaks to their roster. And this time, they are coming in the secondary.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Redskins are signing cornerback Simeon Thomas off the Seahawks’ practice squad. Thomas was a sixth-round pick by the Cleveland Browns in the 2018 NFL Draft and has spent almost all of his career on the practice squad.
Thomas (6-foot-3, 197 pounds) is a big-bodied cornerback with good length. He played sparingly in his first two years in college at Louisiana, but then emerged as a contributor during his final two seasons.
