The Washington Redskins and Brandon Scherff have engaged in a tepid contractual saga for the past eight months or so. It was reported at the start of the 2019 offseason that the Redskins intended to at least entertain the idea of extending Scherff, and the considerable extension that came with that course of action.
Despite these reports, the summer passed without word of any progress in contract extension talks between Scherff and Washington’s front office, and until now, there was no word on whether or not the two sides had even discussed such matters.
