The Washington Redskins have a lot of holes they have to address during the 2019 offseason, but none are bigger than the safety position. The team is lacking talent at the position after they cut D.J. Swearinger for insubordination while Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is set to be a free agent.
If Clinton-Dix walks, the team will need two new starters at the position. They have two former fourth-round picks, Montae Nicholson and Troy Apke, on the roster, but trusting either would be a big risk. That’s why it’s comforting that the Redskins at least seem to be interested in adding talent at the safety position.
