Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin is still in critical condition Wednesday morning, but his doctors did see progress overnight, according to a report from ESPN.
Jordon Rooney, a friend of Hamlin, told ESPN that Hamlin, who collapsed on the field Monday night, was still in the intensive care unit at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Hamlin went into cardiac arrest Monday night in the Bills’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The 24-year-old safety tackled Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins, and after he stood up following the hit, Hamlin fell to the ground. He was given CPR on the field as his teammates surrounded him, and he was taken to the nearby hospital in an ambulance.
