ASHBURN, Va. – The words “deflate” and “gate” were not mentioned by the Washington Redskins during the week. But there was one subtle mention when it came to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
Redskins defensive end Ricky Jean Francois gushed over Brady’s performance and said it might stem from last year’s offseason controversy.
“At this point he’s mastered the game,” Jean Francois said. “He has a chip on his shoulder due to other things, but that’s between Tom Brady and other people.”
The Redskins certainly don’t want to poke the bear that Brady has become on the field.
