ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Redskins are back in a familiar, and unwanted position: looking for a tight end. They seemingly have had to do so every week from the time training camp began. The position can be difficult to fill as more teams seek two good options.
With Derek Carrier sidelined for the season, the Redskins will seek another tight end, potentially finding one from workouts they’ll conduct Tuesday. Among the players expected to be looked at by Washington: Matthew Mulligan, who was cut last week by Buffalo and is considered a blocking tight end.
