Adam Schefter reports that the Redskins are bringing free agent S Shamarko Thomas for a workout on Monday.
Thomas, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,613,152 rookie contract with the Steelers and had been testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for several months before signing on with the Jets this past June.
Unfortunately, New York elected to cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
In 2016, Thomas appeared in eight games and recorded seven tackles, no interceptions or pass defenses.
