Back in mid-May, the Washington Redskins made a signing that intrigued many. Long after the 2017 NFL Draft was completed, the team added a young linebacker out of Tulane to their roster. He had a productive collegiate career, but went undrafted due to concerns about his ability to translate his skills to the NFL. The man was Nico Marley.
Marley was more famous at the time of his signing for being the grandson of reggae legend Bob Marley, and the son of former Miami Hurricane linebacker, Rohan Marley. Many wrote him off due to the fact that he was just 5-foot-8 and 200 pounds.
