In addition to signing tight end Alex Smith, the Washington Redskins made two other roster moves Tuesday, waiving safety Trenton Robinson off injured reserve and releasing practice squad running back Christine Michael.
The Redskins reached an injury settlement with Robinson, who was waived/injured after he reaggravated his hamstring in practice two weeks ago. He went unclaimed on waivers and reverted to the Redskins’ injured reserve list. Robinson finished with 52 tackles in nine games (seven starts) this season.
Michael’s tenure on the practice squad lasted less than a month. The team signed him on Nov. 19 after he was released by the Dallas Cowboys.
