Facing a 24-0 deficit the Washington Redskins could have folded up shop and just conceded the game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But instead of calling it a day the team fought back and completed the largest come back in Redskins history in defeating the Bucs 31-30.
I have to give credit to Jay Gruden as well. For a minute there in the first it seemed like the team may have quit on him but they didn’t. Gruden held things together and kept the team believing that they were still in the game, even when it looked like the Redskins would get run out of their own building.
