The Washington Redskins are under consideration to play one of their 2016 games in London, a person with knowledge of the situation said.
Negotiations between the NFL, the Redskins and other teams under consideration remain ongoing and at this point haven’t been finalized. It is believed that Washington will likely wind up making the list of London-bound teams, however.
An announcement from the league could come soon, however. The NFL announced its three matchups for the 2015 London games on Nov. 16, 2014, giving teams roughly one year’s notice to plan for the trip.
