We’ve talked about Washington Redskins position battles at length this offseason, which is a good thing. In previous years, we haven’t had the opportunity to do so.
The Redskins roster finally has depth worthy of competition. This can be observed at several positions. We’ve already seen it at running back and linebacker. But one position battle that isn’t getting enough attention is the competition for the fourth and fifth spots in the receiving core.
With Alex Smith coming into the fold at the quarterback position, the Redskins need a receiving core that’s ready to help him adjust.
