Last year, the Washington Redskins hosted a a draft party at The Anthem in the District that erupted when the team took quarterback Dwayne Haskins.
This year, the Redskins are again planning to have a celebration — albeit in a different format.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Redskins announced they’ll host a virtual party for the draft later this month, with the celebration set for Saturday, April 25. The event will feature virtual appearances from coach Ron Rivera, executive Kyle Smith and Haskins.
“We hope the NFL Draft will be a source of joy and excitement for fans who welcome some distraction during these extremely challenging times,” Rivera said in a statement.
