Redskins take wait-and-see approach at tight end, outside linebacker following cutdown day

The Washington Redskins took only two tight ends and four outside linebackers on their initial roster, and likely will look to make an addition at one or both of those positions in the coming days. But on Sunday, the team was not awarded any players off the waiver wire at either of those positions of need. The team didn’t put in any claims for any of those players on waivers following Saturday’s final cutdown day.

The waiver wire did feature a number of tight ends and outside linebackers, and Washington ranked high on the waiver priority list as a result of having the fifth-worst record in the league last season.
