The Redskins defeated the New Orleans Saints 27-10, on Sunday at FedEx Field. Here’s how the 62 offensive and 57 defensive snaps were divided up:
Quarterback
Kirk Cousins – 59 snaps (played 100 percent on offense)
Colt McCoy – three; 5%
Cousins did what he was supposed to do against a bad opponent. He was efficient, completing 20 of his 25 passes with a perfect 158.3 quarterback rating, and Cousins didn’t settle for field goals, throwing for four touchdowns and 324 yards. It was a nice performance, and he’s played well at home over the past four games against teams currently with losing records (Rams, Eagles, Buccaneers and Saints), but as we’ve often mentioned following a nice outing — can he do it consistently?
