Redskins signing Josh Johnson to backup QB Mark Sanchez

The Redskins have lost two QBs to broken legs in less than a month. When QB1 Alex Smith broke his tibia and fibula, Josh Johnson was one of 5 QBs who reportedly worked out to backup Colt McCoy. Mark Sanchez won the backup job and is now the starter after McCoy broke his fibula last night. Now Johnson is the next man up and is the Redskins newest backup QB.

Jay Gruden said today that he was looking for a QB who was familiar with his system. Johnson definitely knows Grudens system.
