In the wake of placing Montae Nicholson on the reserve/NFI list and ending his season, the Redskins had a free roster spot. They were always likely to fill it ahead of Saturday’s game, although it wasn’t a guarantee, as they had carried just 52 on their roster for a game earlier in the year. Seemingly, the team learned from that mistake and didn’t let it happen again.
On Thursday, the Redskins added some receiver depth to the team, per ESPN’s John Keim. The squad signed Darvin Kidsy to the active roster. Kidsy had spent the whole season on the team’s practice squad and the elevation makes sense, as the team could be a bit thin at receiver.
