Redskins Sign Tight End Marcel Jensen

With a spot open on the 53-man roster following Andre Roberts’ placement on season-ending Injured-Reserve Monday afternoon, the Washington Redskins elected to add depth to the tight end position on Tuesday, signing Marcel Jensen.

Jensen, 25, was a member of the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad.

The 6-foot-6, 270-pound Fresno State product has one career regular-season reception, which an eight-yard catch that came during the 2014 season when he was a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jensen has also spent time with the Denver Broncos, with whom he recorded three receptions for 48 yards in the 2015 preseason, as well as the Atlanta Falcons.
