RICHMOND — With their tight-end depth ravaged by injury, the Redskins on Sunday worked out two free agent prospects and signed Ernst Brun Jr. Meanwhile, the team placed tight ends Niles Paul and Logan Paulsen on the injured reserve list.
Paul must have surgery to repair a fractured and dislocated left ankle, and Paulsen will have surgery on Monday to repair a torn ligament in his right big toe. The team also waived injured running back Silas Redd, who tore his anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments last Thursday. If he goes unclaimed, he will revert to the team’s injured reserve list.
