The Redskins have signed free agent tight end E.J. Bibbs, who has previous NFL experience with the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Washington Redskins on Thursday announced the signing of free agent tight end E.J. Bibbs.
In a corresponding move, the team waived linebacker Houston Bates with a failed physical designation.
Bibbs, 25, is entering his second NFL season, having previously spent time with the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars.
As a rookie during the 2015 season, Bibbs appeared in seven games and recorded one reception for seven yards. He was the only undrafted rookie to earn a spot on Cleveland’s active roster for all 17 weeks that season.
