Redskins sign tackle Bryce Quigley and cut quarterback Hutson Mason

The Redskins have signed tackle Bryce Quigley, and have cut quarterback Hutson Mason, according to the NFL’s daily transaction report.

The 6-foot-5, 310-pound Quigley went undrafted out of San Diego State in 2014. He had a brief stint with the Detroit Lions and San Diego Chargers.

Mason was Washington’s fourth quarterback. He had signed as an undrafted rookie out of Georgia following the team’s rookie minicamp in May.

The Redskins continue to seek candidates to upgrade the depth at tackle. Last week, they signed tackle Willie Smith to compete with undrafted rookie Takoby Cofield behind top backup Tom Compton.
