Making their second outside free agent signing since the start of the league year, the Washington Redskins have signed strong safety David Bruton to a contract, the team announced.
An eighth-year veteran, and former fourth-round pick out of Notre Dame, the 6-foot-2, 217-pound Bruton has spent his entire career with the Denver Broncos.
A standout on special teams and backup on defense, Bruton last season recorded 49 tackles, a sack, two forced fumbles and two interceptions.
The Broncos had interest in re-signing Bruton, however, he visited Washington on Tuesday and agreed to a deal before he left the facility.
