The Washington Redskins announced Wednesday that they’ve signed OL Tony Bergstrom to a contract and released DT A.J. Francis.
Bergstrom, 31, is a former third-round pick of the Raiders back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with the Raiders before signing a two-year, $5.75 million deal that included $1.5 million guaranteed with the Texans back in March of last year.
Bergstrom was set to make a base salary of $1.25 million for the 2017 season when the Texans released him in a move that freed up $2,875,000 of available cap space.
