Redskins sign LB Willie Jefferson to Reserve/Future contract

The Washington Redskins signed linebacker Willie Jefferson to a Reserve/Future contract on Thursday.

Jefferson spent the past two seasons playing in the Canadian Football League for the Edmonton Eskimos. He totaled 10 sacks, three forced fumbles and 43 tackles in 30 games as a defensive end. The Beaumont, Texas native started his career as an undrafted free agent with the Houston Texas in 2013, but he was released after six games for violating team rules for reported marijuana usage.

Jefferson initially attended Baylor but was dismissed during his sophomore year after he was charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession.
