Redskins sign LB Sage Harold, waive Trevardo Williams

The Washington Redskins have announced that they’ve waived linebacker Trevardo Williams who ended up getting injured during Thursday night’s preseason game against the Cleveland Browns and signed rookie free agent linebacker Sage Harold.

Williams was entering his second season with the Redskins out of the University of Connecticut. He recorded five tackles and one sack as a rookie in three games last season. Washington will likely place Williams on injured reserve if he passes through waivers without being claimed by another team.

Sage Harold is a rookie out of James Madison that was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent this summer, but ended up getting released on August 9th.
