The Washington Redskins have brought in a familiar face, signing tackle Willie Smith to a contract Tuesday afternoon.
Originally signed by Washington as an undrafted rookie out of East Carolina in 2011, the 6-foot-5, 310-pound Smith is entering his fifth NFL season. As a rookie, Smith appeared in four games, starting three of them. The following season, Smith signed with the Raiders and started seven of nine games. Smith spent the past two seasons with the Chargers, appearing in only one game in 2013, and 15 in 2014. Smith made one start for the Chargers last season.
