Redskins sign former Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Treyvon Hester to 53-man roster

The Redskins roster is nearly complete. Though the team had their initial 53-man unit formed as of Saturday afternoon, there are a couple of open spots.

The team placed running back Shaun Wilson and edge rusher Jordan Brailford on the IR after final cuts. By doing so, they gave the young duo an option to return later in the season. And, they gave themselves a chance to find some other players to keep on the roster.

According to the team’s official website, they did add one player to compete on defense. The team signed former Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Treyvon Hester to the roster.
