In the span of just twenty-four hours, the Washington Redskins have whittled down their 90-man roster, picking the best 53 of the bunch. Naturally, the Redskins couldn’t keep everyone; there aren’t enough spots for everybody. Luckily, the practice squad provides a module for teams to keep more young, talented players.
The Redskins were able to keep a number of those kinds of players on the active roster. Cam Sims snuck in at wide receiver. Casey Dunn found a way to stick on the offensive line, and Danny Johnson showed more than enough evidence to convince Washington to keep his services around.
