The Washington Redskins have signed free agent cornerback Greg Toler to a one-year contract after hosting him at team headquarters Wednesday, two people with knowledge of the situation said.
A D.C. native, Toler spent the past three years of his career with the Indianapolis Colts. Before that, the 31-year-old spent his first four seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, who drafted him in the fourth round out of Saint Paul’s (Va.) College in 2009.
The signing of the 6-foot, 190-pound Toler, who has 228 career tackles and eight interceptions while starting 47 out of 72 games, adds another experienced cornerback to the mix for Washington.
