The Washington Redskins have signed free-agent cornerback Will Blackmon and have placed safety Duke Ihenacho on injured reserve.
Blackmon, 30, worked out for the Redskins on Tuesday morning. A ninth-year veteran, and fourth-round pick of Green Bay, Blackmon has also spent time with the Giants and Jaguars. He has 119 career tackles and an interception and has played only two full seasons.
Washington needed help at cornerback with Chris Culliver suspended one game and Justin Rogers nursing plantar fasciitis.
Ihenacho fractured and dislocated his left wrist in the second quarter of Sunday’s season opener.
