Redskins sign Corey Robinson for tackle depth

RICHMOND — The Washington Redskins signed veteran tackle Corey Robinson on Saturday and are still open to signing Donald Penn.

Washington worked out both players Friday in an attempt to shore up its offensive line with only 12 linemen practicing through the first two days of camp. The Redskins are without left tackles Trent Williams (holdout) and Geron Christian (MCL), so they’re particularly thin at the position.

But Robinson, 27, should help provide depth. Drafted in the seventh round in 2015, the 6-foot-7, 315-pound lineman has played for the Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars.
