This week, long snapper Nick Sundberg has had trouble with his back, and today that was part of what the Redskins coaching staff was trying to deal with in making the latest round of roster moves.
The team signed Andrew East as a temporary fill-in for Sundberg. East has been on at least 6 NFL rosters since going undrafted in 2015, but this will be his first appearance in an NFL regular season game.
The Redskins apparently wanted to keep Sundberg on the roster, so someone had to go to make room for East.
