The Washington Redskins are trying to trade wide receiver Josh Doctson before Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to a report.
The Athletic’s Ben Standig reported a source believes the Redskins “have lost faith” in their former first-round pick. Since being taken in 2016, Doctson has underwhelmed with the Redskins — catching just 81 passes in three seasons. He finished last year with 44 receptions for 532 yards.
Rumors, however, about Doctson’s availability in trade talks have been rumored for months. Both ESPN and NBC Sports Washington have noted in recent weeks that the Redskins have tried to trade Doctson in the past.
