Redskins Select Safety Troy Apke

The Redskins have added a second defensive player in the 2018 NFL Draft with the selection of safety Troy Apke, who played four seasons at Penn State.

For the second year in a row, the Washington Redskins have selected a safety out of the Big Ten in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

The Redskins on Saturday selected Penn State’s Troy Apke with the No. 109-overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Apke joins the Redskins after spending four seasons at Penn State, appearing in 44 games to collect 111 tackles along with six passes defensed, two interceptions, one fumble forced and one fumble recovered.
