After taking Alabama defensive lineman Jonathan Allen in the first round Thursday night, the Washington Redskins have selected another Alabama defensive player in the second round of the NFL Draft.
On Friday evening with the No. 49-overall pick, Washington selected linebacker Ryan Anderson, marking the Redskins’ fifth consecutive defensive selection in the second round.
The outside linebacker came into his own as a junior in 2015 and was a senior leader on the Alabama defense in 2016, the best defense in college football.
