The workload for Redskins running back Matt Jones has increased over the past two weeks, and so have the turnovers.
Jones lost another fumble, his second in as many weeks, in the 32-21 loss to the Giants at MetLife Stadium on Thursday. The rookie attempted to cap Washington’s best drive on the night with a touchdown, but he lost the ball as he stretched into the end zone. Giants cornerback Trevin Wade poked it out before he crossed the goal line, and the ball bounced out of bounds for a touchback.
“I was getting ready to extend, and I think he hit my elbow or something,” Jones said.
