Redskins nose tackle Terrance Knighton has been ruled out for Sunday’s contest at the New England Patriots because of a migraine. Knighton did not travel with the team Saturday.
Knighton said this week that he occasionally suffers from debilitating “cluster headaches.” He missed Monday’s short practice because of a personal reasons, per Redskins Coach Jay Gruden, but he wasn’t on the injury report this week. Knighton will miss his first game this season, although he was a full participant in practice the past three days.
The Redskins also placed linebacker Jackson Jeffcoat on injured reserve and promoted linebacker Houston Bates from the practice squad.
