The Washington Redskins needed to add some depth and talent at running back this offseason. They lost third down back Roy Helu in free agency and starter Alfred Morris is coming up in a contract year. I’m sure the Redskins will try to re-sign Morris but sometimes you never know.
So the Redskins drafted Matt Jones in the third round this year. I knew the Redskins were going to take running back early in the draft but Jones wasn’t on my radar. I looked at him before the draft and I liked his size but I had him rated behind a few other tailbacks who were on the board when the Redskins picked.
