As expected and feared, especially after last year, injuries took their toll on the Washington Redskins early. In the first week of preseason, the Redskins lost starting running back Derrius Guice, wide receiver Robert Davis, and tight end Manasseh Garner, all for the season with severe injuries.
There is no way to spin the injuries positively, particularly in the case of Derrius Guice. But naturally, there will be repercussions on the roster for other players, and at positions of particular congestion, such as running back and wide receiver, holes have opened up, through which under-the-radar players can find a way to sneak onto the roster.
