In the days leading up to the 2018 NFL Supplemental Draft, connections from the Washington Redskins to former Virginia Tech cornerback Adonis Alexander were drawn rather naturally. Alexander’s bed season at Virginia Tech came under the oversight of current Redskins defensive backs coach Torrian Gray, and two of his former team mates, Greg Stroman and Tim Settle, resided on the roster.
Despite these connections, there was some uncertainty surrounding the Redskins intentions in the supplemental draft. The last prospect selected in the Supplemental Draft by the Redskins was Jeremy Jarmon, a Kentucky defensive end taken in Round 3 of the 2009 Supplemental Draft.
