Redskins revamped offensive line ready for action

ASHBURN, Va., -- The Washington Redskins’ offensive line needed to be shuffled around Sunday and even more a day later. The result: a player making his first start at center and a second-year guard with one career snap. In the end, though, this could be the Redskins’ line of the future.

With starting center Kory Lichtensteiger on injured reserve and left guard Shawn Lauvao week to week with a right ankle injury, the Redskins needed to make changes. In Sunday’s win over the New York Giants, with no other guards available, they had to shift Pro Bowl tackle Trent Williams inside.
