Redskins receiver Latimer arrested for assault in second degree

Washington Redskins receiver Cody Latimer was arrested Saturday in Colorado and charged with assault in the second degree and four other charges, according to the Douglas County Police Department.

Police responded to a call reporting shots fired just after midnight. When they arrived, officers found three individuals inside and after an investigation, Latimer was taken into custody. Police say an argument had broken out before shots were fired within the apartment.

In addition to assault, Latimer was charged with menacing, illegal discharge of a firearm, prohibited use of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
