The Washington Redskins' defensive quarterback will return. Restricted free-agent linebacker Will Compton signed his contract Monday, as expected.
Compton, who started all 15 games he played last season, signed a deal worth $1.8 million. Compton had received a low-round tender, which meant that had another team signed him the Redskins would not have received compensation.
The Redskins' only other restricted free agent, running back Chris Thompson, signed this past Friday.
Washington still will look at inside linebackers in the draft, particularly Temple’s Haason Reddick and Alabama’s Reuben Foster, should either fall to them at No.
