The Washington Redskins have announced that they’ve re-signed restricted free agent running back Chris Thompson. The Redskins had recently extended an exclusive-rights free agent tender to Thompson and now they’ve signed him to a contract.
Thompson was a fifth round draft pick by the Redskins in 2013. However, he didn’t have his breakout season until last year. When captured the Skins third down back role and finally got a chance to show what he could do.
In 2015 Thompson rushed for 216 yards on 35 carries. He averaged 6.2 yards per carry with a long of 42 yards.
