The Redskins announced they have re-signed backup center/guard Josh LeRibeus to a contract.
A third-round pick in 2012, LeRibeus started the bulk of last season’s games at center with Kory Lichtensteiger sidelined by a shoulder injury.
Previously in his career, he had struggled with weight issues, but he displayed improvement after switching to center last summer.
LeRibeus still struggled with consistency on his snaps, but did better with blocking.
Lichtensteiger returned for Washington’s playoff game against Green Bay, and LeRibeus returned to the backup role.
Financial terms of his deal weren’t immediately available.
