Ian Rapoport of NFL Media is reporting that Redskins RB Matt Jones will not be in attendance for the team’s OTAs. According to Rapoport, Jones doesn’t appear to be part of Washington’s plans.
During the recent draft, the Redskins had Jones on the trading block but were unable to complete a deal.
Washington used a fourth-round pick on Samaje Perine and appear to be comfortable moving forward with Rob Kelley, Chris Thompson, and Mack Brown as their other options at the position.
Jones, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Redskins back in 2015.
