ASHBURN, Va. – The New York Jets got him on Sunday; the critics pounced afterward -- just as they’ve done after most of his bad games. Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins not only replaced a popular player in Robert Griffin III, he still has yet to prove that he can be a consistent starting quarterback.
And that means a lot of voices screaming about his play. Not that Cousins is listening. Instead of tuning into the local sports talk radio, Cousins said he opts for NPR.
“I turn on HGTV instead of ESPN,” he said. “There are times when you can intentionally block it out if you’re asking how to do that.
